The Best Alaska Fly Fishing Lodge

As amazing as the experience of getting to our fishing spots is, the main attraction at Rainbow King Lodge will always be the fish. We’re located in the heart of Alaska’s renowned trophy Rainbow Trout region. However, that’s far from the only kind of fishing you’ll find at Rainbow King Lodge. In addition to the region’s famous rainbow trout, our Alaska fly fishing guides will help you find the best places to locate many other species, including:

• Rainbow trout
• Arctic Grayling
• Pacific halibut
• Dolly Varden
• Lake trout
• Northern pike

At least one of the salmon species will be available at all times of the season, allowing you to plan your trip to include the species of your choice:

• King Salmon runs from mid-June to late July
• Sockeye Salmon run from late June to early August
• Chum Salmon from early July to mid/late August
• Pink Salmon from mid-July to mid-August
• Silver Salmon from early August to the end of the season in September

While all Salmon species will never run at the same time, the best overlap of runs will occur from mid to late July.
Rainbow Trout are available throughout the season, with the largest and most plentiful being available during June and mid-August through September.
Arctic Grayling fishing is always excellent, as is the Dolly Varden/Arctic Char and Northern Pike.
