Truly one of the great Alaska Fishing Lodges. Rainbow King Lodge combines the look and feel of a wilderness retreat with modern comfort and amenities.
As our guests, you’ll enjoy luxury sleeping accommodations with spacious, carpeted rooms with two queen beds and private adjoining baths. Hi-speed internet is now available throughout the lodge and in each guest room. The Lodge operates on 100% hydro-generated electricity. There are no diesel-burning generators or a negative impact on the environment like so many other Alaska fishing lodges.
Guests of Rainbow King Lodge enjoy daily food service that sets the standard for fine dining. Breakfast is cooked to order with a variety of entrée choices, as well as in-season fresh fruits and melons. Breakfast is eaten at your convenience depending on your departure time each day. Lunch is provided during your daily fishing excursion. Depending on the fishery, lunches may vary, but our guides use their best judgment to pick a time and ambient location most conducive to the day’s success. Dinner is served at 7:00 pm nightly. We offer a pre-planned dinner menu featuring main courses such as stuffed filet mignon with snow crab, traditional prime rib of beef, and bourbon-pecan encrusted rack of lamb. We are more than willing to accommodate any special dietary requirements to meet the needs of our guests.
Recreation Hall
At the center of it all is our 1,600-square-foot recreation hall featuring a BYOB bar. There are game tables, a pool table, fireside recliners, and a modern media center with an Internet-enabled computer station. WiFi and some cell phone service are available. Our staff gets together each evening to coordinate and prepare guest arrangements for the following day. From the type of fishing to the species desired by each of our guests, every element of your daily experience is taken into account to ensure your expectations are met.
Iliamna is a dry village by law, and it’s illegal for us to sell liquor. However, guests are free to bring their spirits and we furnish whatever mix you may need. Anyone is free to tend the bar and you’re sure to have a great time getting to know your fellow guests in the comfort of our lodge.
