Every aspect of our experience was 5 star+. Rainbow King Lodge is an amazing place with access to the best fishing whether it’s salmon, trout, grayling or halibut. Flying out every day to a different destination was icing on the cake. Everyone involved (guides, kitchen staff, drivers, etc.) were world class with providing the best possible experience their priority. Here you’re more likely to see moose, brown bear, foxes, and other wildlife than fishermen outside of your own party and the guides. The fishing grounds for guests of Rainbow King include over 30 streams and rivers in the Iliamna/Katmai watershed that have been secured for exclusive access via private licenses. You’ll depart from the lodge in the morning on an aircraft equipped with floats to your fishing destination of the day.
