Rates and Scheduling Information
Fishing in Alaska at Rainbow King starts in June each season and extends into September. We are now taking reservations for the 2025 season.
Trips are scheduled from Sunday to Saturday, totaling six nights and six days. Arrival is expected Sunday afternoon at Lake Clark Air’s terminal at Merrill Field in Anchorage by 4 PM, the flight to Iliamna leaves at 4:30 PM. Return flight the following Saturday evening leaves Iliamna at 6:00 PM for Merrill Field in Anchorage. Plan your departure from Anchorage accordingly. More travel information is listed here. Shorter or longer trips are available on a pro-rated basis under special conditions.
All kids are different, but those who can participate in the many adventures at the Lodge are generally 12 years and older. There are no children’s activities.
2026 Alaska fishing packages include:
- One guide to two anglers
- Daily fly-outs. Two six-passenger deHavilland Beavers and one ten-passenger deHavilland Turbine Otter
- Gourmet meals and non-alcoholic drinks
- Daily wake-up beverage delivered to your room
- Daily housekeeping
- Lodge amenities – 24/7 electricity, rec room, and more
- All the fly fishing and spin fishing equipment you’ll need
- Exclusive use of over 110 sq miles of rivers, lakes, and streams
- Vacuum sealing of your salmon and packing in airline-approved wet-lock boxes
2026 Alaska fishing packages do not include the following:
- Transportation from your home to Anchorage or from Anchorage to Iliamna and back
- Iliamna is a dry village by law, and it’s illegal for the lodge to sell liquor, but perfectly fine to bring your own
- King Salmon stamps (if appropriate)
- Fishing license
- Bed tax
- Staff gratuities
- Waders are the one item you will need to bring or purchase on-site
The Lodge will arrange the flight from Anchorage to Iliamna, and guests will pay Lake Clark Air at the time of check-in. Sixty pounds of gear is allotted per guest, and no fish box fee will be charged from Iliamna to Anchorage.
